Darren Smith, Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist

MSc, PgD, MMACP, MCSP

Darren is a HCPC registered Chartered Physiotherapist with nearly 20 years clinical experience within the NHS and private sector and provides comprehensive treatment for common and complex musculoskeletal conditions, sports injuries, and post-operative rehabilitation.  Within the NHS, he works as a Clinical Specialist and Lead Physiotherapist at University Hospital Southampton within the Wessex Spinal Service and Trauma and Orthopaedic Knee Service.

His qualifications include an MSc in Physiotherapy, PgD in Manual Therapy and BSc (Hons) in Sport Rehabilitation.  He is a member and clinical mentor for the Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists, a group of just over 1000 UK Physiotherapists who have reached an international standard of excellence in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy at an advanced practice level.

Outside of work, he is kept busy by his 3 children (and all their endeavours) and when he is not running after them, enjoys running around the local Romsey countryside.
