About

Darren is a Master's trained HCPC registered Chartered Physiotherapist with 20 years clinical experience in the NHS and private sector.  He is a Clinical Specialist and Lead Physiotherapist for the highly regarded regional spinal centre - Wessex Spinal Service and the Trauma and Orthopaedic Knee Service, based at University Hospital Southampton.  In addition to these clinical specialisms, he provides comprehensive treatment for common and complex musculoskeletal conditions, sports injuries, and post-operative rehabilitation.

His qualifications include an MSc in Physiotherapy, PgD in Manual Therapy and BSc (Hons) in Sport Rehabilitation.  He is a member and clinical mentor for the Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists, a group of just over 1000 UK Physiotherapists who have reached an international standard of excellence in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy at an advanced practice level.

He is proud to have recently been awarded the Eurospine Diploma in Interprofessional Spine Care.

Outside of work, he is kept busy by his 3 children (and all their endeavours) and when he is not running around after them, enjoys running around the local Romsey countryside.
